F. Susan Wong is Professor Emerita Diabetes and Metabolism at Cardiff University and Honorary Consultant Physician in Diabetes at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. She has many years of research into the causes of Type 1 diabetes, particularly focused on the immune system, as well as development of prevention/cure, both in mouse and man. She has combined this with long clinical experience in treatment of all aspects of diabetes, but focusing mainly on type 1 diabetes.
