Megan Peck is a Research Assistant and PhD student within the Division of Care in Long Term Conditions at King’s College London’s Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care. She has a degree in Psychology and a masters degree in Health Psychology, where her focus was on diabetes emotional health and self-management. As part of a five-year diabetes distress programme led by Prof. Jackie Sturt, her work focuses on optimising a care pathway for detecting, managing, and preventing diabetes distress in adults living with type 1 diabetes in the UK. Alongside this, her PhD focuses on adapting the diabetes distress management intervention for type 2 diabetes, using realist and co-design methods. Megan lives with type 1 diabetes herself, and currently uses a hybrid closed loop system.
