Mark Tiller

Person living with type 2 diabetes

Mark Tiller was diagnosed with Diabetes in 1996 in Melbourne, Australia aged 35. He was initially misdiagnosed with Type 1 and told “You will have this for the rest of your life and it’s only going to get worse.” Mark struggled with managing his diabetes for a long time suffering from Diabetes distress and burnout. In 2019, he chose to prioritise his health and with help from others and using CGM, he got his diabetes well managed. He is now an advocate because he wants to help others living with diabetes with a focus on Type 2, including improving tech access by changing government policy and helping end stigma and reducing diabetes distress.
