Dr Hina Jawaid works across 2 countries, in the UK she works as a general practitioner (GP) She has over 15 years’ clinical experience of working in NHS UK. In Pakistan she is based at the Health Services Academy in Islamabad as associate professor in Family Medicine where she involved in both clinical & academic work including primary care research.
Working in these two countries has given her a chance to understand the health systems more closely, particularly identifying ways to improve the quality of care in primary health care facilities in Pakistan. She has been working in collaboration with a number of universities/ institutions & organizations both within the country and abroad.
She was voted “Exceptional leader” for WONCA working party: Women and Family Medicine South Asia Region for the biennium 2023-25
Her primary interests include medical ethics, evidence-based medicine & women empowerment.
