Kriss Owen is a GP partner at Littlewick Medical Centre in Derbyshire and the clinical lead for diabetes for Derby and Derbyshire integrated care board.
She is the clinical lead for the Derbyshire site of the NHSE type 2 diabetes path to remission programme after being successful in bidding to be one of the first 10 pilot sites in the UK, and she has spoken three times at the Diabetes Professional Care Conference about diabetes and remission.
She was involved in a collaboration between ABCD and PCDS producing the ABCD position statement on risk stratification of adult patients with diabetes published in the British Journal of Diabetes in June 21.
She was delighted to be invited to join the organising committee for the Diabetes UK professional conference in summer 2025.
