Jonathan Golding is a Specialist Registrar in Diabetes and Endocrinology who is currently working at University Hospitals Sussex in Brighton. He has recently taken time out from training to complete a PhD looking at type 1 diabetes and frailty. Since completing his PhD, he has continued to seek opportunities for research, and is hoping to take up a post as an Academic Clinical Lecturer. In addition, he currently serves on Diabetes UK's Research Steering Group 5: Living with diabetes long term, and has previously spoke at BreakthroughT1D's launch event for their work entitled: "Facing the future: Aging with type 1 diabetes and the need for change." He continues to advocate for better care for older adults with type 1 diabetes, particularly through the challenges of ageing such as frailty, or dementia.
