At the University of Exeter, Craig is the departmental theme lead for Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolic Health. His research interests include the neuroscience of diabetes; the impact of diabetes and diabetes drugs on the brain with a particular focus on hypoglycaemia; innovative cell therapies for Type 1 Diabetes and potential immunomodulatory therapies for delaying onset of T1D.
He also sits on the Society for Endocrinology Science Committee and the Diabetes Research Wellness Foundation Scientific Advisory Board and was a previous member of the Diabetes Research Steering Group (group 5) and the JDRF/Breakthrough T1D Scientific Advisory Council. He has written for Diabetes Wellness News, BBC Science Focus and The Conversation.
Craig is the basic science representative on PCOC through to and including the 2027 conference.
