Christina is a FEND Doctoral Research Fellow in Diabetes in the Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Palliative Care at King’s College London and Nurse

Consultant in Diabetes at Wye Valley NHS Trust. Christina’s doctoral studies focus on inpatient insulin safety; co-designing an intervention with older adults with diabetes and healthcare professionals for safer hospital insulin use during surgical admission. Clinically, Christina has over 13 years’ experience in diabetes specialist nursing across a range of inpatient and outpatient settings. Christina’s research interests include inpatient safety, patient empowerment & engagement, co- design and care of the older adult. Christina is a committee member of DISN UK Group, member of the Diabetes UK Research Steering Group (for Acute Care) and a DSN Forum Affiliate.
