Cheong is a Consultant Physician in Diabetes and Endocrinology at the Aintree Diabetes Centre in Liverpool. He currently helps deliver the Cheshire and Merseyside Type 1 Diabetes and Disordered Eating service, and he is an Associate Chief Clinical Information Officer in his Trust with a special interest in the delivery of outpatient digital clinical systems. He has a longstanding interest in service improvement and redesign. He led in the development of community diabetes services in Knowsley and Liverpool and was formerly clinical lead for the Cheshire and Merseyside diabetes clinical network.
