Dr Alexandros Liarakos is an early-career clinician–researcher in diabetes affiliated with the University of Nottingham. He is currently undertaking a PhD focused on diabetes technologies and is a resident in diabetes and endocrinology in the Oxford training programme. His research interests include automated insulin delivery systems, continuous glucose monitoring, inpatient diabetes care, and real-world evidence in diabetes technology. Dr Liarakos has authored multiple publications in high-impact journals, and serves as an Associate Editor for Diabetic Medicine. He is actively involved in national diabetes organisations and is the current Chair of the Young Diabetologists and Endocrinologist’s Forum (YDEF).
