Catriona Howes is a consultant liaison psychiatrist, primarily based at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. Catriona qualified from Glasgow University in 2009, before completing training in psychiatry in both Christchurch, New Zealand and Edinburgh. During her training, she developed psychodermatology service in Edinburgh She also developed an interest in Alcohol Relate Brain Damage (ARBD), and co-authored the Mental Welfare Commission Good Practice Guide on ARBD. Since 2019, Catriona has run the Diabetes Mental Health Service in NHS Lothian, working across three acute sites.
