With 28 years of experience working with children, young people, and communities, Anita is a freelance Youth and Community Engagement Specialist currently working with the Children and Young People’s Engagement Team at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. Her practice is grounded in a children’s rights–based approach, ensuring that young people’s voices genuinely shape the services that affect them.

Anita has supported a wide range of engagement initiatives, including co‑production projects, youth advisory groups, and creative participation programmes. She is committed to creating inclusive, empowering spaces where children and young people feel confident to share their experiences and influence decision‑making. Anita’s work focuses on building trust, strengthening participation, and helping organisations embed meaningful youth engagement that leads to real and lasting service improvement.
