Victoria Salem is the RD Lawrence Professor of Diabetic Medicine at Kings College London. She is the Director of the Kings College Hospital Islet Isolation Facility and allotransplant service. Her research interests include fundamental islet biology, imaging sciences and organ on chip models. As one of the Grand Challenge Senior Fellows she is leading a group of cell biologists, material scientists and clinical diabetologists working towards immunoprotective, vascularised scaffolds for beta cell replacement therapies.
