Sankalpa Neupane was recently appointed as a Clinical Professor in translational and clinical research at Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia. He leads insulin pump service along with other technology support for people with diabetes and chairs Norfolk & Waveney Diabetes technology implementation group. He is specialty lead for Diabetes, Met and Endo, NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDN) East of England.
He has undertaken various clinical and translational research studies in diabetes with national and international collaborations including FASH-UK, FreeDM2, PRECISE Study etc.
He is also clinical lead for experimental medicine at Quadram Institute Bioscience which is based at the Norwich Research Park and is home to researchers making discoveries in the gut microbiome, human health, food, and disease. He is not only providing leadership and advice on the research projects at the institute but also investigator in groundbreaking studies such as ViTaL-D and HARVEST.
