Postdoctoral Research Associate, Clinical and Biomedical Sciences, Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, University of Exeter Medical School

Pedro Cardoso is a Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, specialising in the development and recalibration of predictive models across Type 1, Type 2 and monogenic diabetes (MODY). His research focuses on the intersection of precision medicine and causal inference, with a particular interest in identifying heterogeneity in drug response and refining rare disease modelling to improve diagnostic accuracy. Pedro’s methodological approaches integrate Bayesian and Frequentist frameworks to extract insights from large-scale observational cohorts and clinical trial data, ensuring that the predictive tools developed are robust and generalisable.
