Focused Care Practitioner , Bridging Change

Nora Mzaoui is a highly experienced community leader with over twenty years in the voluntary sector. She began her UK career at a blue chip company, but quickly realised community work is where her passion lies.

As co‑director of Bridging Change, an organisation set up 5 years ago, she advocates for equity and meaningful representation for Black and racially minoritised (BRM) communities, providing support through training, engagement, and strategic networking as a Health and Black and racially minoritised representative.

Her extensive portfolio of work includes community development and grant giving, running community-based decision‑making panels, setting up a peer‑led model for mutual learning and support called Can Do Networks as well shaping the volunteer and mentoring programme to help refugees and asylum seekers.

Alongside her director role, she also works as the Focused Care practitioner lead at a local GP surgery and currently serves on the Diabetes UK Community Organisation Advisory Committee.
