Originally from Sydney Australia, Nicola brings over 25 years of experience working in patient engagement and communications within Central Government and the NHS.
She is currently an Equalities Engagement Manager for the NHS National Vaccination and Screening Programme. Her role involves working closely with NHS Screening Services to increase their understanding and engagement with people experiencing health inequalities to help reduce their barriers to access and build trust and awareness.
Previously, Nicola worked in several NHS mission-critical areas including the Covid Pandemic Communications Team, where she oversaw the Volunteer Recruitment Campaign resulting in 20K new volunteers needed to support the vaccine rollout across the country.
She was also the PPV Lead for East of England’s Clinical Network Team where she delivered several patient engagement projects which increased the uptake of services through targeted patient insight and marketing.
Before the NHS, she worked for some of Whitehall's busiest Departments and was the Head of Communications at the British High Commission in Singapore and a Campaigns Media Manager for The Cabinet Office and Home Office.
