Living with Type-1 diabetes, Co-Chair of Diabetes UK Lived Experience Advisory Committee
Liva has been living with Type-1 diabetes for nearly 30 years and is an advocate for people living with diabetes. She’s passionate about driving awareness for Diabetes, Diabetes tech, lifestyle management, nutrition and mental health of invisible disabilities.
She’s currently the Co-Chair of Diabetes UK’s Lived Experience Advisory Committee (DLEA), member of Tackling Diabetes Stigma panel, member of Breakthrough T1D's Insight and Experience panel, member of Blue Circle Diabetes Foundation and member of Voices in Action.
At her full-time job, she works as a B2B tech communications professional focussing on making storytelling relatable and turning complex innovation and technology into simple and clear narratives. She's worked across Enterprise tech, Cybersecurity and Health tech. Her science background underpins a rigorous, evidence-driven approach to communications.
