Kate Hunt

Kate (Katharine) Hunt is a consultant in diabetes and general internal medicine at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London.  Her clinical interests include diabetes in young people and diabetes and pregnancy.  Kate is physician lead for the diabetes young adult and diabetes pregnancy services at King’s College Hospital.   

Kate is joint lead for the King’s Health Partners site for the NHSE Diabetes Transition and Young Adult pilot (2022-2026).

Kate was an investigator for the CONCEPTT study (continuous glucose monitoring in pregnant women with type 1 diabetes) (Lancet Sept 2017) and the AiDAPT study (Automated insulin Delivery Amongst Pregnant women with Type 1 diabetes (NEJM Oct 2023).  Kate jointly led a writing group which produced the ABCD DTN-UK Best Practice Guide: Using diabetes technology in pregnancy (March 2020) currently being updated for Hybrid Closed Loop.
