'Dr Jason Cheung is a Consultant Diabetologist and Clinical Lead for Inpatient Diabetes Services at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. His work focuses on improving the safety, quality and equity of diabetes care in hospital settings through service redesign, workforce development, and applied research.
Jason’s work has helped broaden the traditional remit of inpatient diabetes care to include areas such as palliative care, environmental sustainability, stigma reduction, and multidisciplinary workforce development. His service improvement work has been recognised by the Royal College of Physicians and Quality in Care awards, and he is a committee member of the Joint British Diabetes Societies (JBDS) for Inpatient Care.
He has a strong interest in diabetes care leadership and systems thinking, and nationally serves as Chair of the Diabetes UK Professional Conference Committee and as a Diabetes UK Clinical Champion, advocating for practical, person-centred and equitable diabetes policy and care.
Jason is also a person living with diabetes, which shapes his commitment to compassionate, realistic and inclusive diabetes practice.'
