Dr Giuseppe Maltese

Dr Giuseppe Maltese (MD, PhD, FRCP, FHEA) is a Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Geriatric Medicine at Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at King’s College London. His clinical and academic interests focus on ageing, diabetes in older adults, frailty and sarcopenia. He is a Diabetes UK Clinical Champion and a member of the Aging Research at King’s (ARK) Advisory Board, contributing to national initiatives such as the National Advisory Panel on Care Homes Diabetes (NAPCHD). Dr Maltese leads community-based diabetes initiatives across Surrey Downs and maintains an active portfolio of research on type 1 diabetes in older adults and the use of technology in clinical care. He is also actively engaged in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision at both St George’s University and King’s College London.
