Dr. Dominika Antoniszczak is a dentist with a specialist interest in periodontology and a passion for exploring the links between oral health and diabetes. Living with Type 1 Diabetes herself, she brings both professional expertise and personal insight to her clinical, research, and educational work.
She graduated from the Medical University of Warsaw in 2018, completed postgraduate studies at King’s College London, earned an MSc in Diabetes Practice from Swansea University, and is a graduate of Perio School, the advanced periodontal training programme founded by Dr Reena Wadia. Her research focuses on oral health behaviours in people with diabetes, highlighting opportunities to improve patient care. Dr. Antoniszczak is an Education Advisor for the Perio-Diabetes Hub and regularly speaks at national and international meetings on diabetes and oral health. Outside of work, Dominika enjoys spending time on the golf course, finding relaxation and focus through her love for the game.
