Deepthi is an academic General Practitioner working at Amicus Health in Devon and undertaking a Wellcome NIHR SPCR Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Exeter. She is a clinical researcher with an interest in health inequalities and sustainability. Her collaborative work with Dr Vincent Simpson on the PenSwitch project, aimed at reducing the use of disposable insulin pens for the management of diabetes, won them the Sanofi Green Award in 2024 and the Royal College of Physicians Excellence in Patient Care award in 2025. She has a strong interest in leadership and systems thinking, and nationally serves as council member on the Royal College of General Practitioners Council.
