Dr Aaisha Saqib

Dr Aaisha Saqib is a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ (GSTT) NHS Foundation Trust, London. She has served on the committee of the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD) since 2024 and has been Honorary Meeting Secretary since June 2026. She co-developed the ABCD Diabetes Update course and has an extensive portfolio in quality improvement and service development. At GSTT, she is the General Internal Medicine Service Lead and Acute and General Medicine Directorate Lead for Quality Improvement. She has led a number of trust-wide initiatives aimed at improving staff wellbeing, patient safety and patient care, with outcomes published in peer-reviewed journals. In recognition of her leadership and commitment to healthcare improvement, she was awarded the Royal College of Physicians Lily Leadership Award in 2021. Her clinical and research interests include early-onset type 2 diabetes and perioperative diabetes care.
