Dr Aaisha Saqib is a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London. She is a committee member of the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD), and previously served as an RCP Chief Registrar (2019–2020). She has also held a national committee role with the Young Diabetologists and Endocrinologists’ Forum (YDEF). She co-developed the ABCD Diabetes Update course and has a strong interest in quality improvement and postgraduate medical education, with a focus on systems, processes and patient safety. She has led trust-wide initiatives to improve diabetes care and safety, with work published in peer-reviewed journals, and was awarded the RCP Lily Leadership Award (2021). Her clinical interests include young adults with diabetes, inpatient diabetes, and perioperative diabetes care.
