Charlotte Cockman

Dietitian and Researcher, NHS

Charlotte Cockman is a registered dietitian, lecturer and PhD researcher. Her clinical role sits within primary care and alongside this she lectures in dietetics, connecting real-world practice with evidence-informed teaching. Her PhD explores how social and structural factors shape health experiences and outcomes with a particular focus on deprivation, access to care, and the wider determinants of long-term conditions. Charlotte has worked across the charity sector, the NHS and policy environments, supporting initiatives that aim to reduce inequalities and strengthen prevention and early intervention. She is passionate about the role nutrition can play in improving health outcomes, and uses research, practice and advocacy to support more equitable care, recognising that individual advice sits within wider systems that shape what’s possible.
