Calum Skye is a Young Leader with the Together Type 1 programme and has been involved for over two and a half years. Based in Cornwall, Calum delivers awareness sessions in schools and colleges across the South West of England, helping students and staff better understand life with type 1 diabetes, through mentoring and youth engagement.
Calum was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in December 2020. Since then, he has also become involved in other projects supporting people living with diabetes. He is a member of the International Diabetes Federation Europe Youth Advocates programme (YOURAH) and a Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) contributor to the D-Stress study.
