After living and working through the Covid era, I have become passionate about highlighting the epidemic of loneliness at work and helping companies create moments of connection between their employees

Fostering human connection is a theme that runs through all of my work and research. My recent TEDx ‘You Can’t Work Solo’ focuses on the challenges individuals and companies face in our increasingly isolated hybrid and remote work world.

In addition to being an expert on loneliness at work, I’m also a Professor of Leadership and Psychology, Consultant, Executive Coach, Facilitator, Speaker.

Over the last twenty-five years, I have gained an extensive track record of teaching, consulting, coaching, and speaking to thousands of leaders across the globe, at all levels (from CEOs to Line managers) within international organisations such as Abbott, AB InBev, Buro Happold and St John International.

In 2021, my book, Connect: Resolve Conflict, Improve Communication and Strengthen Relationships, published by Financial Times Publishing, was shortlisted for the CMI Management Book of the Year. My new book - The Leader’s Guide to Collaboration has been published by the International Financial FT Publishing in Dec 2025.

Regularly featured in top HR magazines, Forbes, CEO world and the Financial Times, my work bridges the academic and business worlds, backed by research but rooted in the real world.

My consulting, speaking and coaching expertise centres on:
• How to create an inclusive and safe organisational culture,
• Forming effective collaborations in dynamic, digital workplaces,
• How to view conflict as a source of creativity rather than something to be avoided,
• How to lead via influencing style instead of command and control,
• Curating and leading high-performing teams, improving joy, and reducing burnout.

My background also includes working as a Psychologist in the healthcare sector and as a consultant for Rhone - Poulenc.

I led the award-winning ‘Diabetes Champions Programme, which was the winner of the 2018 Health Collaboration Awards - EFPIA and Gold winner of the 2017 - EFMD (European Foundation Management Development) EiP Award

Happily Married, living in Northwest London. I am the proud father of two young adults, and I regularly play tennis, practice yoga, sing in my local choir, and sail in the Mediterranean.
