Elaine has over 30 years dietetic experience and has worked across primary, secondary and tertiary centres throughout her career. Over the past 20 years Elaine has worked within specialist diabetes teams across North Wales where she was Service Lead for Diabetes Dietetics for 5 years. She has expertise in Mental illness/eating disorders and diabetes.
Elaine qualified as a prescriber in 2022 and is now in a new role, prescribing within primary care teams as part of a multi-professional partnership. Her scope of practice is currently adult Type 2 diabetes. She is also a qualified Group Analyst and teacher.
Elaine is a Diabetes UK Clinical Champion (2020-2022) and EDI BDA rep for the Health Board.
