Dr Raymond Ladele (MBBS, MSc, MRCGP, PgDip Diabetes) is a GP with an extended role in diabetes and a recognised leader in primary care diabetes transformation across Coventry and Warwickshire. He sits on the Diabetes Prescribing Group and the ICB’s Diabetes System Clinical Network, shaping strategy and driving improvements in population-level care. He co-chairs the Coventry Diabetes Virtual MDT, working in close partnership with secondary care to reduce unnecessary hospital referrals and deliver measurable improvements in patient outcomes through integrated, system-wide collaboration. Dr Ladele is also the project lead for DIAST Plus, an innovative PCN-based diabetes support model. This includes the rollout of “Super Saturday” clinics—designed to deliver all nine key care processes in a single visit—as well as targeted, fortnightly specialist clinics for higher-risk patients, improving access and proactive risk Management. In addition, he provides specialist diabetes and weight management services at Dr Finlay’s Private Practice. He is Associate Medical Director for Coventry & Rugby GP Alliance, a Diabetes UK Clinical Champion, and an advisory board member for Diabetes Africa. A highly regarded educator and speaker, Dr Ladele will be one of the GP facilitators for the Professional Interest Network at the Diabetes UK Conference, leading peer discussions on cardio-renal-metabolic risk management beyond glucose.
