Anna Hodgkinson is a Consultant Pharmacist for Diabetes at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust . She works across primary care, intermediate care and secondary care. She has been working in the Lambeth community diabetes team for over 10 years including working in a diabetes and renal community clinic and has worked in the secondary care diabetes complications clinic. She is the strategic pharmacy lead for implementation of an early Integrated Neighbourhood Team model for cardio-renal metabolic disease in South East London (SEL).
In addition to her clinical role, Anna works at NHS SEL Integrated Care Board alongside both commissioning and medicines optimisation colleagues. She leads on the planning, development and implementation of consistent diabetes and obesity prescribing guidance and pathways ensuring equity of access for medicines across SEL. Anna has previously held roles in commissioning and service redesign and has worked on a number of diabetes transformation projects including an insulin project for the South London Health Innovation Network and has led South London and London wide projects to improve access to diabetes medicines and technology. Anna is a member of the UK Clinical Pharmacy Association Diabetes and Endocrine Committee
